Office Policies
Thank you for trusting us with your care. We would like to take this opportunity to review our office policies.
Appointment Times:
We understand that your time is valuable. We strive to see all clients at their appointed times. Delays are unpredictable, but occasionally occur. We ask for your patience.
Reception:
We do not currently have a receptionist. Each clinician will be responsible for managing her schedule. You may leave a voicemail at any time, and these will be returned as soon as possible. We use a secure online scheduling and billing program that allows clients to set, cancel, and reschedule their own appointments, as well as to make payments. If you would like access to this, you will be given a user name and password.
Insurance And Payment Policies:
Please bring your insurance card to each appointment.
We are happy to file your insurance. Our policy is to file a claim once. If we do not receive payment from them within 60 days, the bill will become your responsibility. As a courtesy, we will file a secondary insurance after your primary insurance has paid. If we do not receive payment from the secondary insurance within 60 days, the bill becomes due immediately and payable by you. You may contact the insurance company to resolve any problems.
If you have a co-payment for office visits, we ask that you make that payment prior to or on the date of the service.
Late Arrivals and Missed Appointments:
Late arrival of 20 minutes or more will most likely result in the need to reschedule. If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, we ask that you notify the office at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to re-schedule other clients if needed. A missed appointment fee of half of the session fee may be billed to you if you do not keep your appointment or if a late cancellation is made. If you miss three appointments within one year without notification, services may be discontinued.
Requests for the completion of paperwork may take several days depending on the complexity and number of requests at that time. Please plan accordingly.
